L.A. Healthcare Jobs
Spreading your skills and expertise to more than just one city is a major hallmark of travel nursing. Though most traditional healthcare professionals work with one or two hospitals in the same area, travel nurses get around the entire nation, interacting with tons of different and diverse patients as they go. As you move through your career, you find that there are some cities that are more exciting to travel to than others. Of course, as a healthcare professional, your main priority is going where you are most needed, but this doesn’t mean you can’t request certain areas to work in! With this in mind, many are keen to get a job in California. The whole state is a pretty great place to work, with northern California offering some of the most prestigious hospitals and clinics in the nation as well as extremely high pay rates, and southern California offering culture, fun, adventure, and equally prestigious hospitals and clinics. If you haven’t nabbed a job in California just yet, though, you may want to set your sights on working in SoCal, namely San Diego
The City of Los Angeles holds many distinctions. L.A. is the entertainment capital of the world, a cultural mecca boasting more than 100 museums, and a paradise of idyllic weather. From tourist attractions like the Walk of Fame’s collection of stars (numbering more than 2,614 and growing by one or two a month) to career opportunities like those presented in the expanding tech industry, Los Angeles is the place to be. It is the only city in North America to have hosted the Summer Olympics twice – and by 2028 the third time. Downtown L.A. is the largest government center outside of Washington, D.C. Los Angeles has the only remaining wooden lighthouse in the state (located in San Pedro’s Fermin Park) and the largest historical theater district on the National Register of Historic Places (located Downtown on Broadway).
